Coro's 14th Annual Leadership Luncheon Breaks Record
The 14th Annual Coro Leadership Luncheon, held on April 17 at the San Francisco Marriott Hotel, was the most successful Leadership Luncheon in Coro's history. More than 550 people attended the Luncheon and contributed over $375,000 to support Coro's leadership training programs.

Coro Fellows Learn More About The Labor Sector
In February, the Fellows explored the labor sector in the San Francisco Bay Area. They attended a Labor Speak-out on the impacts of the state budget cuts, interviewed labor leaders, and completed projects at 12 diverse labor organizations, from SEIU to the Firefighters Union. After their labor experience, the Fellows completed placements with nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. They worked on a variety of projects and focused on a wide array issues ranging from local education reform to international human rights. Through California's Heartland: Agricultural Focus Week
In mid April, the Fellows embarked on Coro’s annual trek through the orchards, fields, and farms of California. They spent four days on the road, driving over 600 miles, exploring the world of California agriculture, its importance in the state and national economy, and the issues facing it. As part of their exploration of the nonprofit sector, the Fellows examined the issue of affordable housing in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood. They spent a day volunteering on a construction site with Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco and interviewed Coro alum and Director of Government and Legal Affairs, Jim Murray. Coro Hosts Its Very First Youth-in-Action Showcase
On Saturday, April 18th, the Coro Exploring Leadership Program held its first-ever Youth In Action Showcase Event at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center. The event showcased 67 projects, led by 33 Coro Youth Fellows addressing 25 different issues at 23 Bay Area high schools. Full Article>>

Youth Fellows attend a "Social Action Boot Camp"
On Saturday, March 21st, the Youth Fellows participated in their final Saturday Exploration by attending a day-long "Social Action Boot Camp" hosted by the non-profit media organization DoSomething.org. Full Article>>
