28th Annual Public Affairs Awards & Scholarship Gala

On Saturday, April 12, 2003, at the Century Plaza Hotel & Spa, Coro held its 28th Annual Public Affairs Awards & Scholarship Gala. Last year's Crystal Eagle Award Honoree was Coro Alum (SF ‘56), Senator Dianne Feinstein. The event was co-chaired by former Coro Board Chair, Cristina Rose and former Coro Executive Director, Mike Roos. Over 525 members of the Coro family were in attendance. The highlight of the evening was the Senator's remarks. Her underlying theme was the impact of her Coro experience throughout her political career, from being elected as the first woman Supervisor for the City of San Francisco to the present day as a United States Senator. She had everyone on the edge of their seats - it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop (quite a feat for the Coro crowd). View pictures of the 28th Gala event.
