1st Annual Coro Community Service Event

It's not too late to participate in Coro's 1st Annual Community Service Event.  If you haven't already done so, reserved your space to participate today.  Reserve me a space!

What:             A day of service with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. We will be participating in their new program, A Brush With Kindness, which seeks to help low-income families restore their homes so they can continue to live in a safe, decent, and affordable home. The program provides exterior home repairs-free of charge-to qualifying low-income homeowners, who earn less than 80% of area median income. Repairs include, but are not limited to, painting, landscaping, window replacement and other minor repairs. The home repairs are done by both the homeowner and volunteers, side-by-side, and will be led by trained crew leaders. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.

When:             Saturday    June 28, 2008

Why:               In honor of Coro Southern California’s 50th Anniversary, Coro Alumni have decided to pay tribute to the legacy Coro leaves in Southern California by rolling up our sleeves to provide “sweat equity” in the hopes of improving the community one house at a time!
