ONE LA TEEN Fellowship
The 2008 ONE LA TEEN Fellowship brings together high school students from across the city to unite, explore, learn and develop into leaders.

| ONE LA TEEN Fellows: 1) Find out about the history and issues currently being debated in the city of Los Angeles. 2) Learn how government works and the most effective ways to access decision makers and be heard. 3) Meet and interview business, media, government and community leaders. 4) Develop new skills such as facillitating a meeting, project planning, conflict mediation. 5) Find out about the application process for colleges in LA and explore scholarships and other ways to obtain resources for school. 6) Have an opportunity to be selected into a summer internship at a City Council member's office or the Mayor's office. |

The ONE LA TEEN Fellowship is a 4-month program involving 50 youth from diverse backgrounds and structured around three overnight, weekend retreats during the school year (March-June). After the conclusion of the third and final retreat, 16 youth particpants are selected to transition into full-time, paid summer internships at a City Council office or the Mayor's office (July-August).
