CORO

Mastery of Leadership Program

The Mastery of Leadership (MOL) program offers a new type of initiative for Coro St. Louis as it will focus specifically on General Semantics (GS), what it is and how to apply it.  It will provide participants with an entirely new framework from which to operate.  General Semantics was articulated approximately 60 years ago.  Over time, empirical data has strongly demonstrated the soundness and success of this discipline.  Even more exciting, new research on how the human brain functions has proven to support the major tenets of GS.  You can't get more cutting edge than that!

Primary Emphasis of MOL:

  • A comprehensive exploration and practice of General Semantics
  • Applying GS Principles and tools to professional and personal life
  • Coaching on the application and practice of the principles and tools

Outcomes for MOL:

  • Thinking and acting from a new frame of reference
  • Greater understanding of human functioning and dynamics
  • Being able to design and choose one's response and actions
  • Increased effectiveness in personal and professional relationships
  • Increased effectiveness in work and productivity

Program Components:

  • General Semantics - a new model of how human beings function and what makes that possible
  • General Semantics Tools - gaining mastery through practice and coaching
  • Increased effectiveness in personal and professional relationships
  • Increased effectiveness in work and productivity

Regular Program Size (16-18 participants)Note:  This may change after the pilot program is completed and more is known.

Program Schedule and Location

The nature of the program will be to offer specific principles and tools at each seminar which participants are required to practice between seminars and report on at the next session.  The practice of the principles and tools is essential to the success of the program.  Therefore, the construct of the program will be shorter, more frequent seminars.  It will be offered from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. approximately every other Thursday over four months (7 sessions).  The program will be held on the Maritz Campus, Fenton, MO.
