Alumni Opportunities

Coro alumni are integral to our work, playing critical roles in recruitment and selection of program participants, planning and delivering alumni events, and strengthening our programs. Here are just a few ways that alumni can be involved:

Recruitment: Cultivate leadership by letting folks know about Coro Center for Civic Leadership programs. Attend a career fair with Coro staff, host an information session at your alma mater, or join a panel discussion! Have a few minutes to spare after work this fall? Participate in one of our phone-banking events!

  • Contact Katie Koski at kkoski@coro.org for more information on recruiting for the Fellows Program in Public Affairs.
  • Contact Amy Chan at achan@coro.org for more information on recruiting for the Exploring Leadership Program.

Application Review: Help assess the candidates for the Fellows Program in Public Affairs.

Contact Katie Koski at kkoski@coro.org for upcoming application reading sessions.

Selection Day Judge: Volunteer to be a Selection Day Judge for the Fellows Program in Public Affairs or the Exploring Leadership Program.

    • Contact Katie Koski at kkoski@coro.org if you are interested in being a judge for the Fellows Program in Public Affairs. Please note that the next Selection Day is on Saturday, March 7, 2009.
    • Contact Amy Chan at achan@coro.org if you are interested in being a judge for the Coro Exploring Leadership Program. Please note that the next Selection Days are on Saturday, April 4, and Saturday, April 11, 2009.

Coro Alumni Events: Is there a topic that you want to learn more about? Would you like to host an alumni event? The Coro Center for Civic Leadership hosts at least one alumni event a month that provides a forum for alumni to connect and learn. We are always open to new discussion topics, venues, or activities.

Contact Katie Koski at kkoski@coro.org if you have any ideas for alumni events.

Placement Hosts: Host a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs or an Exploring Leadership Youth Fellow in your office! This is a unique opportunity for organizations and their staff to benefit from a bright, energetic individual while assisting in the development of an emerging leader in public affairs.

·         Contact Katie Koski at kkoski@coro.org to host a Fellow in Public Affairs.

·         Contact Amy Chan at achan@coro.org to host a Youth Fellow
