Program Description
The Coro African American Community Leaders Fellowship, AACL, was a staple program in the Pittsburgh region from 2001 - 2007. African American college students studying in the Pittsburgh area to engaged in a full-time, challenging leadership and professional development summer program. The program was intended to expose talented African American students to the professional, economic, and social resources that exist in the region through multi-sector field assignments, seminars, and networking events.
During the ten-week program, participants engaged in placements (internships), attended weekly day long seminars, interviewed major community leaders, completed a group project, and conducted leadership interviews.
