Are Pittsburgh's "most livable neighborhoods" the least innovative?  Join Coro Pittsburgh for a discussion about innovation, equity, and neighborhood identity.

Pittsburgh's push for innovation leaves many questions unanswered.  For example, some of our most creative neighborhood initiatives are taking place on blighted vacant properties or industrial brownfields.  Many important industrial and scientific innovations were developed in local universities, but does having innovative research in institutions translate into more creative residents or innovative civic practices?

Coro Pittsburgh will host an event to explore these and other questions related to innovation.  The new Coro Fellows will start the evening by providing a snapshot of innovation in one Pittsburgh neighborhood - Squirrel Hill.  Next a panel of guests will share their thoughts and analysis about Pittsburgh's identity as an innovative city.

Panelists will include Ken Doyno, Partner, Rothschild Doyno Collaborative, Bill Generett, Executive Director, Pittsburgh Central Keystone Innovation Zone, and Ellen Kight, President, Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development.

The event is free and open to the public, to RSVP email lventress@coropittsburgh.org
