About Civic Engagement Initiatives
Coro Pittsburgh’s civic engagement initiatives create the conditions for citizens in all stages of life to exercise effective leadership in addressing major challenges facing our region and our country. Civic engagement advances our vision of an inclusive democracy by providing leadership training experiences that culminate in a collaborative project, and by convening citizens to examine multiple sides of critical policy issues and provide input into public decisions.
Since 2005 over 800 citizens have participated in a collaborative leadership training program or deliberative event hosted by Coro Pittsburgh.
Current civic engagement programs include:
Citizens Leadership Initiative
Program for Deliberative Democracy
