How to ApplyThe Coro New York Leadership Centers equips individuals of all ages and from all backgrounds with the knowledge and skills they need to play active civic leadership roles across the private, public, and non-profit sectors.

Our programs are aimed at four target groups: NYC public high school students, young professionals, mid-career professionals, and individuals working with immigrant communities in New York City.

Each program has its own application process:


Leadership New York (LNY) brings together a diverse learning community of mid-career professionals from the private, public, and non-profit sectors. Participants examine their personal approaches to leadership while going behind the scenes to wrestle with NYC’s complex public policy questions.

Exploring Leadership (EL) cultivates NYC public high school students as civic leaders affecting educational change within their schools and communities.

The Immigrant Civic Leadership Program (ICLP) enhances the capacity of leaders working to strengthen immigrant communities. ICLP participants explore strategies for shaping public policies that affect NYC as a whole and immigrant communities in particular. ICLP also challenges participants to examine their individual approaches to leadership in order to build and sustain their organizational and personal visions for change.

The Fellows Program in Public Affairs (FPPA) is a full-time program that prepares young professionals for effective and ethical leadership in the public affairs arena. The Fellows Program is offered in five cities nationwide: Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and St. Louis.
