Leadership New York
Leadership New York is designed to cultivate the skilled, astute individuals needed to effect change in NYC. These individuals are prepared to grapple with the political, economic, and social factors influencing public decision-making; examine how race intersects with policy; expand their learning and development; and forge an enduring personal and professional network with peers in New York City’s public, private, and non-profit sectors. Participants join an unparalleled network of over 800 Leadership New York alumni, among whom are City Commissioners, CEOs, community activists, journalists, business and social entrepreneurs, and other key players in the public arena.
Participation is open to individuals who:
Beginning in September, the 20th class of Leadership New York began an intense exploration of New York City’s complex public policy questions. In the next nine months, Leadership New Yorkers will examine such topics as the New York City budget, public education, and the media.
