Fellows Program in Public Affairs

 


The Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs is a full-time program that prepares young professionals for effective and ethical leadership in the public affairs arena. The Fellows Program is offered in five cities nationwide: Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and St. Louis.

Coro New York is focused on recruiting talented applicants from across the country who are committed to living, working and contributing to the civic life of New York City and the greater Coro New York community. The Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs in New York is generously supported by The Moody's Foundation.

The application process for the Fellows Program 2010-2011 is now closed. Recruitment will reopen August 2010 for a January 2011 Application Deadline. Please check back in August. 

To apply to the Fellows Program, you must submit the following:

  • Online application form and supplemental details at www.coro.org/fellowsapp- NOW CLOSED  
  • Essays (3)
  • Resume
  • Applicants prioritizing Coro New York should include a supplemental (750-word max) essay on the following question: How do you envision leveraging your Coro Fellows experience after graduation to contribute to the civic life of New York City? [include as additional page with resume]
  • Official transcripts
  • Letters of recommendation (3)
  • Signed Declaration on Applying
  • $75 application fee

Important Dates

Oct-Dec. Series of online information sessions for interested applicants
Dec. 21 Coro New York Open House, 6:30-8:00pm at Coro offices
Jan. 22 Deadline for all application materials
Late Jan. Applicants receive application confirmations
Jan. Applications are evaluated by Coro alumni and staff
Feb. Selected candidates are invited to daylong interviews, Selection Day
Mar. Selection Day
Apr. Final notifications
Early Sept. Program begins
