Join Coro alumni and community members for a screening of the film, followed by a discussion on how it relates to the realities in the NYC Department of Education and how we can take actions – big and small - towards reform that is best for New York City’s children.Hear ideas from: Michael Haberman (LNY X), President of PENCIL; Emilie Mittiga, Teacher, School of Democracy & Leadership; Gary Johnson (FPNY 2009-2010), graduate from the Harlem Children’s Zone; and participants from our Exploring Leadership program. * Participate by asking questions and forming new ideas * Leave with a sense of purpose on what any citizen could do to help improve our schools .
