Coro New York alumni are integral to our work, playing critical roles in recruitment and selection of program participants, planning and delivering alumni events, and strengthening our programs. Here are just a few ways that alumni can be involved:
Recruitment: Cultivate leadership by letting folks know about Coro New York programs. Attend a career fair with Coro staff, host an information session at your alma mater, or join a panel discussion! Have a few minutes to spare after work this fall? Participate in one of our phone-banking events!
Application Review & Interviews: Help assess the candidates for our programs. Volunteer to read applications, interview applicants, or be a judge at the Fellows Program Selection Day.
Rudin Dinner Benefit Committee & Class Leaders: Bring your inspired ideas, civic minds, and organizing skills to help us put together a memorable and meaningful annual benefit.
Coro New York Alumni Association Board (CAAB): Learn how you can play a key role in the planning of Coro alumni events and supporting other Coro functions.
Coro National Alumni Directory: Connect with Coro alums across the nation and keep them up-to-date on your own profile.
Coro New York is committed to cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with corporate and community partners across the city. Here are just a few ways to get involved with Coro:
Placement Hosts: Host a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs or an Exploring Leadership Youth Ambassador in your office! This is a unique opportunity for organizations and their staff to benefit from a bright, energetic individual while assisting in the development of an emerging leader in public affairs.
Interview Guests: Experts in media, finance, education, criminal justice, public health, economic development, arts & culture, and more are interviewed by our program participants.
Leadership Breakfasts: These meetings with key private, public, and non-profit executives illustrate for our participants the breadth of civic leadership that exists in a city as complex and diverse as New York City.
