The Coro Fellows Program is a nine-month, full-time, graduate-level leadership training program that prepares diverse, talented, and committed individuals for effective and ethical leadership in the public arena. Fellows participate at each of Coro’s five regional centers: Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, and San Francisco.

To apply to the Fellows Program, you must submit the following:

  • Supplemental NY Essay (1)
  • Resume
  • Official transcripts
  • Letters of recommendation (3)
  • Signed Declaration on Applying
  • $75 application fee

Applicants prioritizing New York among the Coro centers should include a supplemental (750-word max) essay on: How do you envision leveraging your Coro Fellows experience after graduation to contribute to the civic life of New York City?

Who

Twelve Fellows are chosen each year to participate in New York. A strong candidate for the program:

  • is passionate about pressing issues that impact the sphere of public policy and affairs in New York City and beyond
  • understands that social, political, economic, and cultural experiences influence and shape perspectives that comprise a community
  • values teamwork
  • is self-reflective and motivated to develop her/his professional aspirations
  • demonstrates a desire for contributing to the civic life of New York City

When

The recruitment cycle for the Fellows Program runs each year from August through late January of the next calendar year. The selection process extends from February through to late spring.  If selected, candidates must attend the day-long selection interview on March 16, 2012.
