Leadership New York challenges experienced professionals from across non-profit, public and private sectors to explore critical issues facing New York City, develop new ways to lead change in their communities and organizations, and join a leadership community of nearly 2,000 alumni in business, government and non-profits who are shaping the future of the city.
The application period is open from May 14th to July 20th.
Who
Approximately 55 participants are selected each year.
Candidate requirements:
- A capacity for reflection and a mindset for growth
- A desire to try new frameworks
- Minimum of seven to ten years of professional work experience
- Demonstrate good citizenship to New York City through work, interest, or volunteer activities
- Embrace the challenges confronting the city with excitement and a sense of responsibility
- Live or work in New York City
- Willing to meet the time requirements of the program

When
The application period for Leadership New York runs each year from April through early July. The selection process extends through mid-August.
